Senior Youth Group: We have a couple of people from ‘Loving for Life’ coming along to hang out and speak to our Senior Youth Group about the Value and Dignity of Human Life! They will be running the session for us – I will send out more info about what we will be discussing closer to the time, but it will be a good one!

I am still on the look out for another reader, another person to do Offertory, and two Greeters for this Mass – let me know if your child could do any of these roles!

Kai for the Community
KAI FOR THE COMMUNITY is a charitable Trust that has fed the homeless and vulnerable in Christchurch for some years. The Trust provides a sit down two course meal on Sunday evenings for these folk. The Trust rely on groups such as parishes from the Catholic community and other Church groups to provide the food, to serve it and clean up.
The meal commences at 5.30 and is well finished by 7pm.
Families from the North Parish have assisted in this rewarding endeavour on four occasions in the past twelve months. We need to provide a main and a desert for around 90+ persons. About 8 people are required to serve the food and assist with cleaning up.
The food needs to be delivered on the Sunday to the Deaf Centre, 80 Fitzgerald Ave by 5pm. (speak with John for alternative arrangements).
Food to be be provided could consist of a meat, pasta or chicken dish, veggie dis or other suitable meals, also a dessert such as a fruit crumble all to feed about 8 to 10 people. Meals are best cooked in aluminium dishes that are labelled Christ the Redeemer Parish
To offer your assistance or have queries email John Dooley (coordinator) at helenjohndooley@hotmail.com or text/ring 021 908 130

As it says in 1 Peter 3:15 ‘Always be prepared to make a defense to any one who calls you to account for the hope that is in you, but do so with gentleness and reverence’. We will be covering this topic and running some activities around it, discussing why it is important to know and to love our faith, and to not be afraid to share it with others – especially when someone challenges us about it!
Youth Mass: Our youth are also taking part in some of the roles during the Mass at St Bede’s! Be sure to come along to support them!
Dinner: Will be provided!
