Young Adults Open Table Theology
We’re excited to launch Open Table Theology: a new weekly gathering where those who are 18 - 35 come together to explore the Catholic faith in a relaxed, welcoming space. Each night includes a short input, table discussion, and prayer as we dig into real questions and discover how faith connects with everyday life.
Our first session features our very own Parish Priest: Msgr Rick Loughnan. His topic is, “The Sacraments – Jesus continues his ministry”
The sacraments aren’t just “church rituals” — they’re the way Jesus continues to meet, heal, forgive, strengthen, and feed His people today.
If you’re keen to grow in faith, ask questions, and meet other young adults, this is for you.

Ecumenical Ash Wednesday Service
Ecumenical Ash Wednesday Service, 5:30pm at St Paul’s Lutheran Church (130 Burwood Road, Burwood)
Lent begins with a simple, powerful call: “Return to me with all your heart.” This year, the Catholic Parish of Christ the Redeemer is invited to begin the Lenten journey alongside the Lutheran community and the Anglican community of St Paul’s, Papanui, as we gather for an Ecumenical Ash Wednesday Service.
This is a great opportunity to pray with fellow Christians, witness to the unity Christ desires, and start Lent with reverence and purpose.
Everyone is welcome — bring a friend.
