Christ the Redeemer Youth & Young Adults

We believe that an important part of this faith and life journey is for them to be empowered to use their gifts in serving others, and in leadership. We aim to engage them in the life of the Church, not just in the future, but now!

Belonging is important!

 

Our youth groups are places where you can feel like you belong. it’s where you can explore those tough questions in a safe and loving environment - but still keeping it fun, faith-filled with food being in abundance!

  • Junior Youth Group (Year 7 - 8s)

    Mondays during Term Time
    3:30pm* - 4:30pm
    St Joseph’s Pastoral Centre (Vagues Road)

    This youth group is for our Year 7 - 8 students. It’s a time where they can hang out as a group outside of school as they start to explore what it means to be a Christian in our world today, while playing games and having fun.

    We have a wonderful team of high school leaders (alongside our Paid Youth Leaders) who journey with our Year 7 - 8 students.

    No matter where you are on your journey, you are very much welcome to come and hang out!

    *Students are welcome to come to the Pastoral Centre from 3pm onwards.

  • Senior Youth Group (Years 9 - 13)

    Sundays during Term Time
    5pm - 8pm
    St Bede’s College PAC (210 Main North Road)

    5pm Mass in Chapel - Parents are welcome to join us for Mass.

    Our small group for our high school students is a community where they can explore and learn more about their faith, especially those harder topics but still in an environment that’s safe and loving.

    We have a great team of young adult leaders who journey with our young people as they continue to discover what it means to be a Catholic-Christian in our world and how wonderful the adventure of life is with Jesus Christ.

  • Young Adults: Connect

    YOUNG ADULTS: ‘CONNECT’ (18 - 35 yrs)

    This is a space for young adults to build one another up in faith and share life together outside of ministry roles, work, study.

    When: Every Wednesday after Adoration (8:15pm onwards)
    Where: Papanui Club
    Who: Young Adults (18–35)

    Come along, bring a friend, and be part of our parish young adult's community.

  • Exalt: Wednesday Adoration

    Exalt: Word and Sacrament

    Every Wednesday
    7pm - 8pm
    St Gregory’s Church, Bishopdale

    We'd like to invite you all to join us every Wednesday night for our weekly ‘Exalt’ nights. These nights consist an hour in front of the Blessed Sacrament (Praise and Worship, and Silence).

    On the fourth Sunday of every month, we celebrate XLT where personal Benediction is available.
